Holiday Shopper Habits

Ardent Project Leader, Wendy, is an avid reader of marketing publications and newsletters. She recently recommended to me this NY Times article on consumer habits during the 2011 holiday season– it looks like shoppers are finding room in their budgets for fun activities and indulging in luxury products, while simultaneously tightening their belts with everyday expenditures.

At Ardent, we’ve been designing and manufacturing displays for a number of products that fit the category of “friperie.” From the Moshi phones display above to Looney Tunes flash drives, we’ve seen companies staying in tune with consumer interests and providing a lot of fun and unusual products that make great gifts.
